Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal treatment provides permanent hair reduction to help you achieve smooth skin. This is a client-friendly laser hair-removal treatment that is pain-free and efficient. The laser works by emitting a gentle beam of energy which passes through the skin and heats up the follicle. A great side-effect of this is a velvety soft skin condition.

FAQ

Thinking about Laser Hair Removal treatment? Knowledge is power. To help inform your thinking, we’ve put together answers to some of the questions were most frequently asked about Laser Hair Removal treatment.

What does the consultation involve?

The consultation is a free appointment booked in with ourselves at a prior date, to suit yourself. It involves a small area on your arm or leg being shaved and a laser patch test carried out. Remember this is a pain free treatment, although we do have cooling air for those more sensitive individuals. We will also go through what laser hair removal involves, prices, packages and consent forms.

Are there any side effects of laser hair removal?

Yes, ‘skin conditioning’ Skin is transformed by a useful side effect of skin conditioning making skin ultra smooth and preventing ingrown hair and stubble like conventional hair removal.

Just velvety soft skin and hair (while you still have it).

Does laser hair removal hurt?

No, it most definitely does not.

This is a pain free treatment, in motion, moving freely over the body. We have a cooling machine for delicate areas, if required.

Is anybody suitable for laser hair removal treatment? Can anyone have laser hair removal?

Yes, if you have unwanted hair anywhere on your body, you are most likely a good candidate. We can achieve very good results from most skin and hair colours, although white skin and dark hair combination probably achieves the quickest results, sometimes exceeding expectation.

Occasionally, clients may have health issues that can impact on the treatment time or effectiveness, but generally this is a client friendly treatment.

Fully white hair may not be treatable, however we can look at the percentage with a magnifying lens at consultation before making a decision.

How many treatments will I need?

We require the hair to remain in the follicle for it to be damaged by the laser. This means no waxing, plucking or electrolysis

6 treatments, 4 weeks apart are recommended.

After this, clients may come back to book to suit as when required.

Hair grows in cycles, the hair can be damaged (destroyed) when it is in the anagen stage of growth. The laser will destroy all hair in the follicle at the time of treatment, repeat sessions will ensure further hair in the follicle can be destroyed. Some hair growth phases are in years so we recommend the odd treatment now and then after the initial 6.
