Pigmented Area Treatments
Pigmented areas can be small lesions, age-related liver spots or freckles. At Looks Cosmetics we can also treat such pigment problems as vitiligo, psoriasis, stretch marks and faded scars. Looks Cosmetics use a combination of lasers to treat pigmented areas and we are able to advise which is best for you. Our in-house doctor is able to use IPL, ND-Yag Qswitch and UVB light.

What are pigmented areas (lesions)
Pigmented areas can be small lesions, liver (age) spots, freckles, but also pigment problems such as vitiligo, psoriasis, stretch marks and faded scars.
How does the laser treatment work?
Laser light is absorbed by the melanin pigment where it is converted into heat and causes breakdown of the dark pigment. Pigment problems can be eased with UVB light therapy.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes, a patch test is needed prior to treatment. We offer a free consultation at Looks Cosmetics which will include any patch tests you require.
